Hospice is specialized care that provides the highest quality of life and comfort for those facing an advanced terminal illness, as well as their loved ones.
By the time you are eligible for hospice, the focus is no longer on finding a cure, but simply providing the best care possible. We believe that every person with a life-limiting illness has the right to live the remainder of their lives pain-free and surrounded by loved ones, and in an environment in which they feel the most comfortable.
Our goal is to allow the entire family to share the time they have left together as fully and comfortably as possible.
Our hospice program is founded on a team approach; every member of our staff works together to provide respectful, compassionate medical care and pain management for the individual, as well as emotional and practical support for the family.
In a home-based setting, family members serve as primary caregivers with the support of our medical staff, who visit regularly, make assessments, and provide any additional care needed.
We work together to manage pain and symptoms, administer medication, and acquire any equipment or supplies needed to support the patient. In hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living centers and other on-site settings, we work in tandem with staff to provide the best care possible.
We also provide disease-specific programs and special services specifically geared to end-of-life issues.
